THE CLASSIC YO-KAI are yo-kai that have been alive for more than 60 years. Because of this, they are the most famous yo-kai of all. Whisper looks up to them and always respects them and gets angry when Nate and Jibanyan don't. In the Japanese dub, Whisper even refers to them with the title "senpai". The classic yo-kai actually exist in Japan. They are urban legends. All the classic yo-kai's japanese names are the same as the legend their based on. Classic yo-kai love to use their powers to scare people.
Classic Yo-Kai first appeared in the Yo-Kai Watch 2 games, but more classic yo-kai debuted in Yo-Kai Watch 3.
